Task Management Tools Used By Startups

Understaffed, overworked and facing equally caffeinated 20 something year old competitors…

…task management is critical for startups to dedicate their limited resources effectively.  At Fundacity, we are currently using Asana and Excel. In Asana we set up the week’s tasks for each team member and excel has our Gantt chart looking 6 months ahead. We really want to find a better solution that can combine the collaborativeness in the cloud that Asana provides with the flexibiliity and vertical outlook ability of Excel….but we don’t know what the best task management is.

Fellow husslin’ entrepreneurs help us by sharing what task management tool you guys happily implemented in your startup.

  1. Thank you for the many votes. So far most popular ‘other’ tools are Trello and Azendoo.

The is still just up since 12 hours so the learning is still in its early states. Will keep you posted.

  2. Cloud collaboration AND gantt charts, you say? I’d be interested to hear how you and your team respond to Smartsheet. It has the familiar spreadsheet interface of Excel, but with a bunch of built-in tools to make collaboration a snap… Gantt charts and calendar views in particular.

Here’s some info on the Gantt chart feature – https://www.smartsheet.com/product-tour/gantt-charts?s=180

  3. I would also like to mention Proofhub – task management software. With this, tasks can be better described, assigned, executed, tracked and controlled. So these get executed timely without getting missed.
