Welcome to Fundacity Nicolás

The Fundacity team is going and growing strong :).

In May, Nicolas Schurmann officially joined our team full time. He is a senior software engineer. He is a skilled hacker that can manage web security and server securities. He previously worked for LAN-TAM, largest market cap airline in the world, where he specialised in cloud computing and developed their management planning platform. We joined the Fundacity team directly from the Chilean ministry of education where he managed the team that developed the Scholarship Platform (Spl.conicyt.cl).

Nicolas SchurmannNicolas Schurmann – Hacker and Software Engineer

Specialized in software engineering and experienced in developing solutions. Studied Engineer in Computing and IT at Universidad Mayor, where he gained expert knowledge of servers and security. Currently knows more than 16 programming languages and has experience working on SaaS, PaaS & IaaS.

He built web-based solutions for LAN.com, Conicyt (Chilean Ministry of education) and developed free software for the open source community.

LAN.com – Independently developed four web-based solutions. The most important being Pandora, that enables contingency management of the website LAN.com, giving smart reports, kanban style columns and a solid database.

Conicyt – Co-lead a team of five software engineers to develop the web-based software that manages all the application forms for scholarships in Chile. http://spl.conicyt.cl

Ethical Hacker – Developed different procedures and softwares to collect information from several large well-known management softwares and platforms, for experimental purposes. Today he leverages these skills to enhance security and crawl the web for data for Fundacity.

He is already creating cool things and we can’t wait to see how his developments will disrupt the fundraising process in the startup ecosystem.

Miklos is the CEO and co-founder of Fundacity. Fundacity is making startups investing easier. Fundacity already supports all the notable accelerators in LatAm in their startup selection and management and they are expanding rapidly across Asia-Pacific and Europe. Miklos has unique and extensive experience in start-up formation, business development and venture financing. He has raised and evaluated investment offers in venture capital from angels and VCs from three continents for a variety of deals. He thrives at launching businesses and making sales in new geographies. Miklos currently serves as a financial advisor and mentor for various start-ups including Taggify (an online contextual advertising company based in New York and Buenos Aires). At Taggify, Miklos advises on fundraising, financial reporting to the board of investors, tax filling and cash flow management. Miklos completed his MsC in Finance at the London School of Economics and previously worked in corporate finance at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London, fund sales at UniCredit Vienna and economic research at Erste Bank Budapest. He is a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW, Institute of Chartered Accountant England and Whales and is quinti-lingual. He is passionate about startups and entrepreneurship and spends his free time engaging with the startup community.
